boris53098 Posted April 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2019 Does anyone know if a wheelchair can be brought on the tender boat? My friend that I'm traveling with uses a wheelchair. She can walk short distances, so doesn't actually need it to board the tender, but will need it in Cabo. She's bringing her small transfer wheelchair, not the big bulky one. And our husbands are golfing in Cabo, so we won't have their help. Any advice on the situation is greatly appreciated 😀
Sir PMP Posted April 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2019 Tender is easy, wheelchair no problem, you'll be dropped off at a small pier and from there you can walk her around the port with all the restaurants etc.
Krazy Kruizers Posted April 3, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2019 Have your friend stay in the wheelchair until she gets down to the loading area for the tenders. The Eurodam has a special elevator that goes all the way down to the loading platform -- I have used it with my Rollator. Then she can stand up, board the tender and the crew and load the wheelchair. At the other end she may have a more difficult time getting up on the pier from the tender -- it is a big step.

Also, if it's windy it can be more tricky if the tender is a wobbling. And as Krazy Kruizers said....it's a BIG step.

HAL uses wooden steps (the blue/green ones on the docks in the below pic) as well as two helpers at each tender and/or Cabo tender (the local) boats
