Hello all we are on our first fly cruise on Thursday and very excited, we don’t land in Malta until 5.40pm local time. What happens regarding muster drill and first nights dinner? Our previous cruises have all been out of Southampton and we have normally been onboard in time for lunch.

also do you get fed on flights to Malta? It’s a TUI charter flight not bothered either way but just wondering x

We cruised from Malta a couple of years ago. We flew TUI charter flight from Manchester and landed in Malta about 6pm. You are not fed on the plane but the snacks/drinks are a reasonable price.  On arrival at Malta we were met by coaches who drove I guess 4/5 miles to the boat. We  didn't bother with dinner the first night, went in the buffet as it was late.  On the day of disembarkation we were allowed to go off the ship, go and tour the town and then get back on the boat for lunch before our afternoon flight, which we thought was good. Can't remember when we had the drill but we had it. Really enjoyable cruise, enjoy yours.

We did a fly cruise from Malta a couple of years back flying from Gatwick.  I think we were on the 1740ish flight.  No in flight meal, but Mr Wetherspoon saw us right at the terminal.

We pretty much went to muster drill straight after boarding.  By the time that finished we missed open seating in the MDR.  We were a group of 10 and most hadn't been to Malta before, and the evening was so nice we skipped the buffet for the sailaway, and made do with the late night snacks.
