Carnival water slides-when is it open?

Can anyone tell me when the water slides are open? I read on a message board somewhere that they are only open when in port but a web photo of a Caper said it is only open when at sea.

Please advise. This time next week I will be "at sea" on the Conquest. Thanks!

Last June on the Legend, the water slide was open on Sea Days.
