Carnival water slides-when are they open?

I read on a message board somewhere that the slides onboard are only open when in port. Then I saw a scan of the Capers on Webshots and it stated that the slides are only open when at sea.

 

Can anyone share their experiences. I would apprecaite it. This time next week- I will be at sea, at the bar, on the Conquest. Thanks for any info you can share.

I believe the slides are open from about noon until about 5 pm on SEA days. I don't think they are open in port. I could be wrong, but it seems like this was the schedule on our cruise 2 weeks ago.

I just returned from the Imagination and the posted slide hours were 3:00pm-6:00pm on port days and 9:00am-8:00pm on sea days. Actually, it was open a little less.

On my recent Legend cruise the slides were open only in the ports. I believe the reason was that the wind was blowing at a constant 15 to 25 knots during most of the cruise. Many a hat, sunvisor and S & S receipt blew overboard.

On our last cruise the slide was open while in port AND days at sea! But was closed anytime the wind was high (which was often).
