emam Posted April 25, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2019 Just read the following. I don't know if this will affect cruises to Turkey or if there is even any cruises that go to Turkey. Maybe some of you might just be going there on a land based holiday. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/lifestyle/travel/travellers-to-turkey-told-to-print-e-visas-or-face-being-turned-away-at-the-gate/ar-BBWfcAj?ocid=spartandhp
CCFC Posted April 25, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2019 Pretty sure that doesn't apply to cruises that are only there for a day.
BrianI Posted April 25, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 25, 2019 From the Turkish gov website According to the Law on Foreigners and International Protection which entered into force on 11th April 2014, those foreigners who arrive at sea ports and intend to visit the seaport city or nearby provinces for touristic purpose are exempt from visa provided that their stay does not exceed seventy two (72) hours. However, if you arrive in/depart from our country by air for your cruise, you must obtain a visa. https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/info/ Brian
vwgolf Posted April 25, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2019 It's also common sense advice. I carry hard copies of all of my paperwork just in case something goes wrong. E tickets are fine but it's comforting to have a piece of paper to hand.
