Grand Cayman

Is there any time of the year in which you can almost always tender to Grand Cayman? I've been reading on several posts that it's a 50/50 change that you will make it to the island. I know no port stop is guaranteed but I am really hoping that we make it there for our cruise in Nov.

I have heard that it's about 1 out of 3 times that they can't tender due to rough water. I was there in early November and we had no problems. Really depends on the wind/weather and you can't predict that.

Just got back from the Mariner cruise and we were unable to tender at Grand Cayman. There were a number of ships there that day and none of them were able to get in.

I went there on my honeymoon, not on a cruise, but by land and there were a lot of ships there in early Nov. It was a great time of year to go too. Check out Stingray city, its the best!

Ive been to GC 15 times or so and only once were we not able to go ashore...

We have been there 2 times, once in April and the other in late March. We were able to tender both times.
