Hello.

First time in Tortola what are some must do things aside from the baths? We want some beach time but want to see things too. We love pirates are there any things related to that? What beach is best for drinks/beach day with beautiful Caribbean waters. I believe we are the only ship in port from 7-4

You can learn much about the beaches and amenities (and vibe) at each just by reading some of the beach threads just below your post. Best beach for drinks with Caribbean waters? For us it’s Brewers Bay or Smuggler’s Cove, for others Cane Garden Bay or one of the two Long Bays...Shared safari taxi to Brewers or CGB is $8pp each way...

Pirates are a big part part of the BVI history, you can contact the Pirates Museum to see if they are open when you are there.

You can take an island tour that includes a shorter beach stop and then visit the museum if it is open. Drivers at the pier offer shared safari tours (and private tours) and some include a beach stop.

Another way to experience some of that history is by taking a daysail that visits pirates hideouts like Norman Island (“Treasure Island”), but these are primarily snorkel trips with some history thrown in.
