Pre-cruise in San Juan

I just found a pretty good deal on Hotel.com. Our orginal airfare with the cruiseline was running $540 (Pittsburgh to San Juan). Through the package deal we can get airfare and 1 night hotel at the ElConvento for $550. We are definitely going to travel the day early for that price.

Everything I've read about El Convento seems to be very good. Another plus is that you get to pick the flights/airlines and your seats when you book the reservation.

 

Anyone had any negative experiences with this type of package?
