Kenny1080 Posted May 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2019 Travelling on Pearl 28th July, i’ve Been struggling to find any info on pearl in the boards. Can anyone gibe give any hints/tips? What’s good on the ship and what isn’t so great? We will be travelling with a 3 year old and a 15 month old, is there a playroom for under 2’s like on Epic? bonvoyagie Posted May 26, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2019 I know that the ship has a splash academy for kids - you will have to go to NCL's website to learn about what they do for what ages. The Pearl is NCLs main charter ship - used for sixthman cruises and the like. They have removed the waterslides and lots of other top deck structures - it still has a bowling alley and climbing wall. There will be music acts in all of the lounges as well as the atrium.

I have been on the Pearl three times. If you type in Norwegian Pearl in the search box you will see a whole section on her. There will be reviews written by people on this site too. In my opinion the crew is fantastic.
sharonann24 Posted May 28, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 28, 2019 So glad to see that some information has begun to be posted about the Pearl. We are on the June 22 sailing and have not seen much. This will be our 3rd NCL, the first two on the Breakaway. I am looking forward to being on a smaller ship, as well as hoping we won't have to fight as much for sun deck spots on sea days. Can anyone speak to that? We were in the Haven previously so didn't have to deal with that. Also, it seems as if the entertainment is more low key. Any additional information would be appreciated! Less than three weeks to go!
Nola26 Posted May 28, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2019 Information about kids club for various ages would be available on ncl.com and selecting the Pearl. I am not a big pool deck person so cannot speak to lounger crisis or not. I can say I don't recall hearing complaints about it. I enjoyed the ship and would advise finding and enjoying the Spinnaker lounge soon in the trip, great observation deck of sorts. I won enough in the casino to keep playing, loved Bar Alley on deck 6 and I always enjoy the live entertainment around the ship. Range of shows are good and family friendly. If you want a lounger in the sun by the pool those can be in short supply on sea days. We are always at a table in the shade and have never had a problem finding one. Then if we want sun we just go over and stand/sit by the pool. One thing I will say is that if you show up and there is absolutely no place to sit I have had luck asking the crew to find a spot. Did this once when I saw an elderly gentleman wandering around. They got a chair for him.
