Self-Debarkation Question - Pt. Canaveral

For those of you who have done self-debarkation at Pt. Canaveral - Were there taxis available when you left the ship? How about the Radisson shuttle? Was it far to walk with your bags to the ground transportation?

We will be on the Glory May 1 - 8 and are leaving our car at the Radisson. We will be driving back to NC that day (with me whining and sobbing all the way, no doubt!), so we want to get as early a start as possible.

It is not too far to take you bags to the transportation area. We had a limo, so I'm not too sure about the Raddison Shuttle, but I did see lots of cabs, they know where the money is!

Definitely do the self carry luggage thing, it was a mess in the baggage claim area, even with the colored tags separated.

We drove from WV to Pt. Canaveral last fall and came through Columbia...I'd say it was about 8 hours from Columbia to port. There is some construction on I95 around the Jacksonville area so be prepared for delays.

It took about 71/2 hrs thats stopping for gas once and food once......I95 is like a Nascar race averaged 75 to 80 mph going and returning
