cruiser man 60 Posted June 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2019 Anyone who has disembarked in Yokohama could advise; 1. If you have an overnight stop and wish to go ashore for the day do you have to be cleared by immigration and if so how long does it take? 2. On final disembarkation what is the procedure for immigration if you are staying in Tokyo after cruise and how lond does it take? any other tips for this port appreciated. emmas gran Posted June 2, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2019 Yes we have just been on Splendida Unfortunately we did not go ashore on the first day due to heavy rain, but disembarking didn’t seem to take long at all. We did the Japanese Immigration process in the previous port Kagoshima We were in YC so butlers escorted us off to the terminal building for the process and very little queuing either in Kagoshima or Yokohama. Our travel agent had organised a hotel for 2 nights in Tokyo and a tour including the Bullet train and Mt Fuji. Hope that helps
emmas gran Posted June 3, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2019 We did find information on doing your own tour for Mt Fuji and the train -- in our hotel they had tour company leaflets. Let me know if you want the name of company
cruiser man 60 Posted June 3, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted June 3, 2019 Thanks for the information, we are just looking at possible tours and have some good recommendations. Just trying to establish how long we need to allow to get off ship due to immigration.
