kelster42 Posted January 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2006 Has anyone been to the port Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala? I didn't see it posted on the ports board. Any info would be great? Kelli
hova Posted January 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2006 Look under Carribbean-Other for info. The link below is a good example of some of the information on this port. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=264864 A couple of years ago, we stopped at this port with Holland America. The people who booked an excursion into the countryside really enjoyed it, but lots of people stayed on the ship and complained that it was the worst stop of the trip. For ourselves, we thought it was the highlight of our cruise. There are several vendors selling tours right where you dock. Its much cheaper to book an excursion through them, then it is to book it off the ship. It was interesting that the waterfall a taxi driver took me to was featured on the last Survivor as a reward for winning a challenge. hova
