GSC: Cabana vs Haven Villa Area?

On the Dawn in June and have a large cabana booked. We've done it before, and absolutely loved it. 

 

Now that the Haven / Suite Villa Area is open, we are really torn if we should keep the cabana, or try out the villa area. It's a win-win situation, obviously...but these are the important things to us about the day:

 

1. It's our wedding anniversary and my birthday...so the day is special no matter where we are

2. My son loves the beach...playing in the sand and the awesome yellow floaties. Wondering how the beach / water is at the villas

3. Having a private bathroom / shower would be awesome

4. Where are the villas located in relation to the tender / main area ... in other words, is it close by to the other fun things going on during the day

 

Thanks - @WendyandGrumpy has posted a ton of infor and photos which look awesome - I'm looking for and other info / advice out there in CruiseCriticLand!
