Christmas/New Year on Silver Whisper

There are very seldom children on board Silversea Cruises. And I can only remember two Holiday cruises on which any children sailed. On a South American cruise there were a couple of families with a total of under 10 kids. There was a visit from Santa and an adorable little parade around the ship... a really rare experience. If your interest depends on including children, you might want to reconsider.

The second time I remember children on a holiday cruise, 3 years ago, was when WE took two granddaughters, ages 9 and 12, on a Capetown RT,. They were the only children on board. It was a perfect adventure for them in that we went on day safaris and they saw a huge number of animals. They loved dressing up, all the gingerbread houses, the Christmas trees, and all the attention from the wonderful crew. They definitely had a good time, but I was really surprised, and a bit sad that the girls were the only children sailing. I don’t think they cared a bit.

(If you are thinking of a Caribbean holiday, you might have a better chance of sailing with children..or so I have heard.)

More questions? I’ll try my best to answer. 🎄
