Carnival Kids' Clubs

We are hoping to take our first Carnival cruise next summer on the Legend (our 2nd cruise ever). We would like to hear more on the kids' clubs and how parents felt about them. Our kids will be 12 and 9 at that time. Thanks for your opinions!

Don't know much about your specific age group, but my 3 and 6 year olds had the time of thier lives. The counsellors are amazing and the activities were age appropriate. I think in your age agroup though with parents permission the kids can sign themselves in and out on thier own. Not sure if you want to allow this, as we saw many kids on without parental supervision getting into mischief. Good luck with all of your planning.

My 5 YO loved it! Everything is age appropriate, they keep the kids in with their own age groups (2&3, 4&5, 6&7, etc)....they will love it too. icon_biggrin.gif

Your kids will LOVE Camp Carnival. My 5yo granddaughter was 4 when she took her 1st cruise & she cried the morning we disembarked because she couldn't go to camp! If they can keep a 4yo that entertained, your kids will love it. We took the RC Rhapsody a year ago with friends who had a 12 & 15 yo & they stayed with their "new friends" in camp activities the whole time. There's so much planned for them & they really get into it.

This Sunday we'll sail on the Elation out of Galveston & will have our grandkids 7,6,5 and 2yo with us & they can't wait to go to camp. You'll be so glad the camps are there, because it will make your cruise so much more enjoyable not having to entertain the kids. They don't even have to go to the dining room with you for dinner...they can dine with their friends!

Hope this helps!

My then 9yo daughter loved Camp Carnival last summer. We had no problem with her signing in and out, because we had radios for her to find us if she left. She loved the overnight they had on Thursday night and still talks about it! She aleays knew someone when we went to the pool, or anywhere else on the ship, so it helps them get some friends right off the bat and makes your life easier for your cruise. Have a great cruise!

Your 9 year old will be able to sign themselves in and out of the camp.

Will your other child be 12 or 13 by the time they cruise?

The first night they have a teen meet- Its very important that your kids go to this meeting no matter how lame they may think it is. The older teens just seem to hang out a lot more then do the stuctured activies.
