? on booking cruise next year

I'm looking into possibly booking a 7-nt. cruise for me, hubby and our son (will be six years old) for next May or June. I'd like to shop around and see who might have the best prices, but not sure where to start?

Any ideas on sites to visit or anyone have great experience with any particular online cruise sites?

Thanks,

I have also been checking prices for a cruise next year. I am looking at the Victory and if I cruise on May 29, the price is $690 per person for 3 verses over $800 pp cruising on June 12. So I have found that if you can cruise in May the prices are lower, they tend to go up after Memorial Day. I have checked several sites that I have found on this board and all the prices are the same as my carnival PVP at this time. My PVP also told me that if I booked with her and then found a lower price I could move my booking prior to final payment.

I'm tempted to go with a PVP this next time, since they always seem so flexible and go-with-the-flow. Can I just use the Find a Cruise feature on the Carnival site to choose which one I'd like to go on?

That is basically what I did. I first decided which itenerary I wanted to take. I have been on the Western and wanted to go on the Eastern, which narrowed down the number of ships. I found that the Valor, Glory and Victory all did the Eastern at about that time. I then called my PVP and got a price for all of them and went from there. I am hoping that maybe the Glory will come down in price comparable to what the Victory is now. She also told me that prior to final payment I can change ships.

You can try Icruise.com as a web site to search out cruises and get an idea of prices on all cruise lines. Not all cruise for 2005 are posted yet either. Have never booked through them though. Have found better prices but the web site is great for doing research on the cruise, the ship and the ports.

I booked a cruise for March of 2005, and I did lots of shopping around. I found the lowest price at bestpricecruises.com. So far, so good. The only thing I noticed is that it takes her a couple days to return my e mails, or calls. Which is okay really as nothing I call about is an emergency or anything, and if I had a problem while on my vacation, I can talk to anyone there, not just her. Just a FYI, they were WAY lower than Carnival PVP price. My retired parent's also booked this same cruise thru them.

I don't know what I am doing wrong. When I go to BPC the price is higher than Carnival on the May 2005 sailing. I also called Fun Vacations and they gave me a higher price, they said that it was Carnivals price, so I got off the phone with them and called PVP to check to see if the price had gone up. No same as price quoted a week ago. And yes both included taxes and fees.

My first cruise I used Vacationstogo.com, but I found with the one that I have booked now, the cheapest price was through cheapertravel.com. I haven't found a site that has their price beat, however, that being said, if you know of cheaper let me know! I hope to book many more cruises in the future!!!
