When you get to the airport in Barcelona just get the euros there with your ATM card in the machine.

Once you are on board the Brilliance you don't need euros everything is charged on your sail card.

The purser's desk has certain hours during each day when they will exchange dollars for euros and vice versa. However, you will be charged a premium rate to make the exchange. As the previous poster recommended, use an ATM when you arrive in Europe to get euros. Your exchange rate will be much better.

We arrived in Barcelona two days before our cruise on Brilliance and got all the euros we needed by tapping our accounts at two banks. Note that there may be a 300 euro limit per withdrawal, so you may have to do two withdrawals to get the funds you need. Also keep in mind that your bank likely has a daily withdrawal limit.

Have fun!
