Broadwaybb Posted June 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2019 My husband and I will be in Athens for the day in July. We would rather not book a tour but hope to explore on our own. We were thinking of taking a taxi to the Acropolis. The ship docks at 7 AM. The time frames to pre-purchase tickets to the Acropolis are 8-10 or 10-12. Is it pushing it book the 8-10 slot? I would like to get there early before it's too hot, but I don't want to be nervous about missing our slot if there is traffic or something. Does anyone know how strict they are about the times if we arrive late (or early if we book the 10-12 slot)? Are taxis readily available at the port or should we pre-book a car? Thank you so much in advance for any advice.
rbolano Posted June 26, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2019 You can get the Acropolis tickets here: https://etickets.tap.gr/ There is no time limit for the e-tickets at the Acropolis: The time slot selection is collected for statistical/information purposes only; the user is under no limitation concerning the exact time of the visit. There are taxis at the port, you will not have a problem getting one. And if you start at 07.30am, you will surely be at the Acropolis at 08.00am.
