SSV - Malacca and Port Klang

Can anyone tell me about going ashore at Malacca - Are tenders used and can you go ashore just for half an hour? I would like to link up with a friend who lives there.

 

Are the excursions from Malacca or Port Klang worth going on? Or is it all rush, rush! :confused:
