Scooter at Denali

Will be doing a HAL Alaska sea/land cruise ( Triple Denali).  We plan to rent a scooter for the cruise portion of trip, but would prefer to skip  additional cost for land tour if possible.  DH is able to do some steps and walk for short distances.  We understand that McKinley Chalet has a shuttle service among its buildings to the Main Lodge area, and HAL tours will pick up at the Main Lodge. Are there shuttles that go to the Visitor Center from McKinley Chalet?  Will we be able to use shuttles to get to any of the restaurants in the area?
