Tinker107 Posted June 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2019 I am going on the Marella Discovery Colours of the Far East cruise in December. Has anyone done this cruise and can advise best side of the ship for a sunny balcony in the afternoon.

SausPud Posted June 29, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 29, 2019 Pick an aft cabin and then it doesn't matter what side the sun is on as you will get it anyways

suekay Posted June 29, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 29, 2019 The aft balconies are mega hot and humid in the Far East as they get no breeze. We got a fan from reception (when the ship was Royal Caribbean) but our neighbours were unable to use theirs as it was so uncomfortable
JessM66 Posted July 21, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 21, 2019 I am looking at booking this cruise, does anyone know how much Marella charge roughly for a full days shore excursion, I am try to work out how much extra it would cost on top of the cruise for the shore tours. Pensioncruiser Posted July 21, 2019 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2019 It does vary from about £60-£120 but you can check them out on the Marella website under excursions.
11057 Posted July 22, 2019 #8 Share Posted July 22, 2019 JessM66 ~ We did this cruise in January and booked all our trips at our local TUI travel agent. Having previously visited many of the destinations for land based holidays we booked a variety of half and full day tours. They varied between 4 and a half hours and 8 hours. We paid around £400 in total for both of us for 8 different tours. We found that the same trips booked on the ship were £5 -10 more expensive.
