Budget location at Port Everglades?

I will be driving a rental from Fort Myers to Fort Lauderdale. Does anyone know how close the 17th st. Budget Rent-A-Car location is to the pier for the Caribbean Princess?

It's less than a mile. The Budget agency is in a strip mall on the north side of the street adjacent to the Bimini Boatyard restaurant. If available, the Budget shuttle from that location will drop you at the pier. They did it for us!

The Budget on 17th has got to be the hardest to find of any of their locations. There is no sign anywhere, at best a sandwich board in front of the office (local laws forbid road side signage) and the office is tucked back from the street out of view by your average drive-by

 

It's there though and we were shuttled to the ship no problem save the awful traffic on Saturday getting through port security

It's in the strip mall opposite this RENAISSANCE HOTEL... http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/FLLBR

 

Drive into the strip mall like you're going to the hotel, but it's on the west side of the strip mall, directly opposite the hotel, between BRAVO Italian Restaurant, and the US Post Office branch.

 

Double check, but some people have said lately that they will no longer shuttle you to the port from that location, so you may have to walk across the parking lot to the Renaissance Hotel and grab a taxi.

Within a mile. We are also renting a car from Budget for our CB cruise tomorrow picking up at the airport tonight and dropping off at the 17th Street location tomorrow morning. I spoke to Wendy at the Budget location on 17th today and she said they have a shuttle that will take us to the pier tomorrow.

Just rented last week from them....very close to port.....and very nice lady that waited on us.
