All Scuba Excursions canceled on Harmony 7/14/19

Anyone on the Harmony now?  Are any of your scuba/snuba/snorkeling excursions canceled?  

My soon to be cruise mates on 7/14 got notified they were canceled for all ports.

I am on that cruise also. Wonder if it has anything to do with the tropical storm?

They normally don’t cancel until 48 hours as weather can change.

I am guessing it would be because of the tropical storm and potential of it hitting hurricane status.

 

It could be the dive companies are cancelling, because they are afraid of a hit and want to put their boats in a protected area.  Or the ocean is so churned up, that the experience would not be good.

 

Just because they are not cancelling this weeks dives doesn't mean they won't cancel next weeks.  A few days can make a big difference.

 

You might want to look at facebook pages/website  for dive resorts in the region to see what they are doing.

Harmony is in the eastern Caribbean next week (and the week after). The potential tropical storm is only predicted to be in the northern Gulf. 

 

It would be an extreme overreaction to cancel tours in PR, USVI or St. Maarten due to this potential storm in NW Florida, Louisiana and Texas. 

 

It's something else for sure. Maybe just a website glitch?
