Cngreen3 Posted July 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2019 Does anyone know of any cruise deals for the week of Mar9-15ish of 2020? Looking to take a couple of families with kids... we like to drink and eat so we need the drink package... any recommendations that won’t blow the budget as we will have to fly as well... TIA! JimnKaren Posted July 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2019 WELCOME TO CRUISE CRITIC. I would guess that you have a travel agent. If so, then ask that person. If not, then look online for someone local (get in the office for a nice discussion AND it keeps the money in the community). If that time is school break time, then the law of supply and demand will prevail. Lots of people want to get away during school breaks and thus there are very few 'deals'. TxCityKat Posted July 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2019 Howdy Cngreen3! Welcome to the Cruise Critic message boards and thank you for your first post! 👍 Please check out the Cruise Deals section of Cruise Critic. Use the search feature at the top to dial in on your March 2020 sail dates. There is a helpful Cruise Critic article titled 14 Tips for Finding Cheap Cruise Deals at https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=1096. If you do not have a travel agent I suggest you read the Cruise Critic article titled Finding a Cruise Travel Agent at https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=62. If you decide you want to book on your own, please take a look at the Cruise Critic article titled Online Reservations: Tips and Tricks for Booking a Cruise at Home at https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=147. Since you mention sailing with kids, check out Cruise Critic's Family Cruising Resources. Regarding drink packages, see the Cruise Critic article titled A Guide to Cruise Line Drink Packages at https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=1470. BTW you may wonder why Jim or I have not given you any info concerning deals by our personal travel agent or personal cruise line cruise consultant or any other place of purchase. It is because we cannot violate the following portion of the message board Community Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic membership: Travel Agent Recommendations There shall be no third-party recommendation (whether positive or negative in content) of travel agencies on any forums within Cruise Critic. General discussions regarding the TYPE of AGENCY to be used to purchase a cruise will be allowed, as long as no recommendations for any source of purchase are posted. Touting of your personal cruise agent or cruise line "personal cruise consultant" (or any other venue by which you purchase a cruise) is not allowed on our message boards. Postings that contain "tell them John sent you" will be removed without notice. This means you should not ask about someone's travel agent, nor should you respond in kind. Offering to email someone your travel agent's name or info is also not allowed, nor is asking members to email you for the information. Cruise Critic will remove violations of the "third-party recommendation" guideline without warning. Additional posts may result in permanent suspension of your posting privileges. Glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic and sincerely hope this additional information will be helpful! ☺️ Happy sails, Kat 🐱
