i wanted to know if there are any websites out there that will let you enter some data and then compare ships, cruiselines and pricing for specific dates?

almost any online agency will have the information there, put in your dates and see what is available, You need to do a bit of searching but it is all right there for you. Also be sure you are comparing apples to apples as in length of cruise, amenities, categories of cabins etc. and be sure you are looking at the final price with taxes and other fees.
