JackieMd Posted January 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2006 We are cruising the Western Carribean in February this year... Can anyone give advice on how cold it is at night on the ship in Feb.? Do you require long sleeves, pants, and a sweater??? Thanks, Jackie in Md.
trish1c Posted January 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2006 The a/c in the public areas will cause you to need a sweater. The ambient temperature is otherwise generally comfortable outside at night. You will feel cold however, because the ship is traveling at several knots causing wind. travel girl23 Posted January 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2006 We, too, are sailing in Feb. and I usually get on weather.com because it gives a 10 day forecast. That way, I will know what to pack in case a cold front comes in. Once in the Caribbean I don't think we have to worry. It will be warm. One year all I packed were shorts (no long pants) and the first day out and last day in were cold!!! Now, I always take some long pants and a sweater just to be on the safe side. Definitely didn't need those in the Caribbean. TG23
Ottawa Snowbirds Posted January 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2006 You will need a sweater/light jacket/shawl for evenings. The high day time temperatures and the sun tan/burn tend to make the evenings feel cooler than they actually are.
