Jacksonville Port Area

Looking for a hotel near the port & is there an off site parking lot? This will be our first cruise out of Jacksonville.

The port area is pretty much just an industrial area with nothing else around.  

 

Try looking at hotels around the airport which is about 10 miles away.  Some of the hotels used to have a shuttle to the port....if not you could Uber.

How's the JAX Beach area for a hotel? How far is the beach area to the port?

I am not sure but I believe it’s about 15 miles.  I cannot help with hotel information there as we have always stayed at the Hampton Inn At the airport

Closest to the port is the Holiday Inn Express on the map below.

 

We have parked at the port twice.  The parking lot is directly beside the ship (porters in the parking lot taking luggage and you walk to the terminal) and extremely easy in and out.

For our cruise this spring, we  are staying near the airport. Some of the hotels there offer free parking for the duration of the cruise. We are staying at the Quality Inn Airport - a pre-cruise room, parking, and shuttle to and from the cruise port is about $125. Very reasonable,
