turquoisesea Posted July 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2019 We will be on the Ruby at the end of August and the pictures posted here this week have been magnificent. Where is the best place on board to view Glacier Bay? Yes, we have a big balcony, but I’d like to have a wider view.
Rare jaycruising Posted July 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2019 I swapped between our balcony and the promenade deck, views were awesome.
Rare Coral Posted July 27, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2019 (edited) I also like Promenade Deck 7. I think pictures are better when you are lower. You can easily move side to side (through inside doors) or walk around the entire deck front and back, either side. It is also covered so if it is raining. Rare Jeter02 Posted July 27, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 27, 2019 All the way at the bow of the ship deck 8 or better known as the promenade after you go up the stairs. Front row seats.
turquoisesea Posted July 27, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted July 27, 2019 Thank you. Great suggestions. I read earlier that someone said they stayed in the Sanctuary for viewing. But that is very high up.
weedpindle Posted July 27, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 27, 2019 You will be in Glacier Bay about 6 hours. There will be lots of time to wander around to see all you want to see. You will be at Marjorie glacier for an hour. You can see the glacier from many spots on the ship. You do not need to go to the sanctuary to see all there is to see.
