PelicanBill Posted July 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2019 This storm is coming in behind Erick but the trajectory is more concerning, with a path toward the Hawaiian Islands. The strength is uncertain that far out and it won't arrive before Monday. We'll watch this one carefully as the weekend rolls around.
PelicanBill Posted July 31, 2019 Author #2 Share Posted July 31, 2019 Not much different from yesterday. Flossie is predicted to arrive east side of the Big Island on Monday as a tropical storm, but 4 days is still plenty of time for things to change. PelicanBill Posted August 1, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted August 1, 2019 A little good in the forecast path for Flossie, deflecting NW off the coast of the islands. Let's hope that holds.
PelicanBill Posted August 2, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted August 2, 2019 Path still looking to stay offshore and weaken.... perhaps a repeat of Erick's wind, rain and surf but for the east and north shores.
PelicanBill Posted August 4, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted August 4, 2019 So Flossie will drop fast to a depression during Monday and make a glancing pass at the north shores of Hawaii and Maui and even Oahu. Some high surf and wind and rain but hardy Hawaiians will think nothing of it.
PelicanBill Posted August 5, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted August 5, 2019 As expected Flossie is down to a depression before arriving... no watches or warnings posted at all. Just a rainy windy day. yay!
