Can anyone tell me the amount to tip our cabin steward when we board? We know that there is amt added everyday, but also heard that you should tip them with cash at beginning of cruise? We have other couples going with us and they are all curious. Thanks.:o

It is not necessary to pre-tip the room steward. I haven't and received wonderful service on the cruise.

Pre-tipping is not necessary. The only times I would tip a cabin steward during a cruise would be if we had people to our cabin and left more than our usual mess to clean up, or if someone (usually me) does something stupid that requires the cabin steward to do more than usual taking care of us.

We pre tipped the cabin steward 20.00 before the cruise and he gave us excellent sevice. We also tipped everyone at the end of the cruise more in addition to our 70.00 per person already taken out. They work really hard and could not have been better to us.

Have never found it necessary to tip before the cruise starts. Much rather give extra for excellent service on last night of cruise. Of course this is in addition to auto tips.

We have never pretipped and have always received excellent service - we do, however, treat the steward with great respect and give him extra at the end of the cruise.
