JJSMOM Posted January 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2006 I will need to stay in touch back home (NYC area) while sailing on the Dawn in July. I understand there is limited cell phone service available, and not all carriers will be able to service Bermuda and the Bahamas. What is the "best" (ie, cost and quality) approach for phoning home? Are there any carriers specifically dedicated to service on NCL and/or Dawn?

Text messaging is the cheapest. You need a GSM compatable phone. http://onlinestorez.cingular.com/travelguide/coverage/cruise_ships_rates.jsp?PIDL=IRSD|IRWT
