dino76 Posted January 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2006 I was wondering if there are certain things that RC gives away on their cruises - either by participating in something or just by showing up and asking????
muskrat897 Posted January 29, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2006 You can win little trinkets in their trivia contests, bigger prizes for "Hairy legs" etc. contests as well as stage contests. C&A members get canvas bags and are invited to a cocktail party. You also get a party and notepad and possible other gifts at the Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle. Go to the RCC website and you can join. It's very simple. This will be our 6th RCC cruise. Have a wonderful time on your cruise. We're leaving in 2 weeks for the Mexican Riviera. syndyj Posted January 29, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2006 You get free champagne at the art auctions, just by showing up :)
RickT Posted January 29, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2006 By participating in Ship Shape events (they'll be identified on the daily compass by a picture of a man running) you'll get shipe shape dollars which can be used to purchase some items at the end of the cruise. Great way to keep in shape, burn a few calories so you can eat more... and get a few freebies as well. I'd previously been told that you can get a free deck of RCCL cards if you ask, last time I tried this they told me they were out.
plarimer Posted January 29, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 29, 2006 Once you have your first RCCL cruise under your belt, you get a coupon book in your cabin with things like free ice cream from Ben and Jerry's, casino credits, discounts for logo wear, etc. The higher your level of cruising, the more coupons you get. We are diamond members and it is a great coupon book. We got through is for things we want to do as soon as we get in our cabin.
SeafordCruiser Posted January 29, 2006 #8 Share Posted January 29, 2006 GEE I never got a coupon book:confused: Maybe this time cause we are registered on the website as Crown and Anchor???
elleluv Posted January 29, 2006 #9 Share Posted January 29, 2006 C & A represents Crown and Anchor Member. Go to the RCC website and you can join. It's very simple. Just to clarify a little... you do need to have completed at least one RCCL cruise to join.
kenandlaura06 Posted January 30, 2006 #10 Share Posted January 30, 2006 Is there a Captain's cocktail reception?
negc Posted January 30, 2006 #11 Share Posted January 30, 2006 Is there a Captain's cocktail reception? There is a Captain's Welcome Aboard cocktail reception and for C&A members there is a welcome back cocktail party. Platinum and Diamond members also get an additional reception on cruises of 7 nights or longer. Diamond members also get access to the concierge lounge on those ships that have one.:)
Linda/Ohio Posted January 30, 2006 #12 Share Posted January 30, 2006 We had a lovely C&A platinum Captain's lunch on our cruise to Bermuda in November. We usually don't attend the receptions-this was nice--an at sea day with good food in an upper dining room.
dino76 Posted January 30, 2006 Author #13 Share Posted January 30, 2006 I'm sure we will be participating in the Shipe Shape program as we are very active and need exercise each day, especially if we are going to eat too much on the cruise. How do you "check in" for the program for the "rewards"?
