Tampa Marriott Westshore

After much research, looks like this is the hotel we want to book pre-cruise. Pool looks great and the Starbucks in the morning......But I have a question - how far is it to the Weshore Plaza? Thinking of going to Maggiano's Little Italy for dinner and wondering if it is withing walking distance. The person at the hotel says its 2 blocks to either mall - Westshore or International, but looking on Mapquest, it seems further than that!!!

Our runner up hotel is the Wyndham. So any suggestions would be welcome.:)

The westshore marriott is as convenient as the front desk says and was nice. I would stay there again...go for it.

 

Maggiano's has a great spinach and artichoke dip appetizer...totally unbelievable. Just an aside.

Wyndham is just across the street, so technically is closer, but Marriott is not far either.
