jimraeno1 Posted September 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2019 As a UK passport holder, is it necessary to purchase a Canadian ETA prior to our transatlantic cruise originating from Southampton. Frustratingly, MSC, travel agents and the Canadian Govt. website information are contradictory. We will be arriving at both New Brunswick and Nova Scotia by cruise ship. No flights are involved in or out of Canada. Any up to date clarification would be welcome.

Here is the relevant Canadian Government information: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/eta/facts.html
WorkerBee74 Posted September 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2019 Technically if you’re worried about this (or something changing between now and your trip) an ETA is only $7. So if you want to be 100% safe you can just apply for one. We have to pay for our health care somehow. (Jokes 😂)
