I check in online. It tells me what seats are allocated. If they don't suit I can then pay to pick another seat.

For P&O charter flights there is no on line check in. So you either pay up or take your chance at the airport. If sitting together is important to you then people seem to advocate getting to check in early but if everyone did this then it would be pretty awful. Elaine0138 Posted September 26, 2019 #28 Share Posted September 26, 2019 We rarely sit next to each other on flights long or short haul refuse to pay extra. We tend to fly premium economy on long haul and on more than one occassion we have ended up being upgraded to business 😊

Sure we checked in on line before our flight out to Barbados last year to join Britannia. Getting to the airport early didn't used to be an option years ago, airlines used to advise getting to the airport 2 hours before take off & that was when check in opened,in the case of flights to the USA that meant 300+ people in the queue! Even recently we have been refused entry by security as we were more than 2 hours before our flight,we were only that early because of a message from the airline advising us to be early as extra security checks were likely!
