Spinning the Big Guarantee Wheel

I am leaving on Glory on May 1 with a Balcony Guarantee. By checking Carnival's site, I have calculated that there are five Category 9A cabins, three Cat. 11 and two Cat. 12 cabins available today, 11 days out.

 

Any guesses on our chances of being upgraded to 9 or above? I know I'm being greedy, but.....

Do you have your documents yet? You should by now, for sure.

Someone posted yesterday, if you look at the sail and sign page in your documents, flip the page over, on the bottom of the page there is a long string of numbers. The first 6 numbers is your booking number, the next number is your cabin number, if it's been assigned. This worked for two people that I am sailing with on May 6th. Do you see a number there, or does it still say TBA??? If there is a cabin number, then that's your cabin.

Yes, there is a number there (an 8C), but my TA said that it could still change, and we got gray luggage tags. Doesn't that mean we still might get upgraded?

Everyone said that once that number appeared on their documents, it did NOT change. I would venture a guess that it's at least 99% accurate. If that number is there, it means that you've been assigned. In most cases, if there was still a chance of an upgrade, it would still say TBA there. Not a single person that had a cabin number there was changed, it's pretty accurate.

I don't think the Glory has extended balconies. I believe the cat. 8 balconies are all the same (except maybe the aft cabins).
