Car rental Ketchikan

Does anyone have any experience with a car rental company in Ketchikan? I would appreciate any advise. Thanks

I rented from Alaska Car rental a couple times. No problems and they let me drop off at the dock. http://www.akcarrental.com/

I went on line to their site and it says they have no cars available for that day.

Did they pick you up at the dock? How did you get to the agency downtown?

We rented from them for our upcoming trip (July '06). The earliest that they will pick you up is around 8 and they bring you to the nearby office ("from dock to into your car in 15 minutes"). Cost was around $70 (all included) for a mid-size. I think you can drop it at the dock instead of the office when you leave but that wasn't entirely clear.

They do pick you up at the dock, they are less than 2-3 miles away. You need to call them in advance and inquire IF dock drop off is still available.
