Pinel Island Help

Hi,  Sorry that no one has responded.  The pinel island ferry is a good distance from the port.  At least 1/2 hour and much more in traffic.  We hired a private driver.  You can also make arrangements for transportation from the kayak company that is at the ferry stop.

You will need to do more research in order to make this happen.  Sorry that I cannot give you more help.

We just took a taxi from the cruise port to the ferry dock (located in Cul de Sac - on the other side of the island), then water taxi over to Pinel.  There were four of us and the taxi driver wasn't paid until she came back to pick us up so we didn't get stranded at the dock :)  The water taxis to Pinel from the dock in Cul de Sac run every 30ish minutes, so just plan accordingly.  We have done this in July and December although I have heard some say that Pinel Island closes this time of year due to the risk of hurricanes.  Don't know if that's true or not, so do you research and find out before paying for the taxi ride there.
