I am on a cruise scheduled to be in Freeport on October 18th. As far as I know, they are actually going. Carnival is resuming ports of all to Freeport with other ships at an earlier date.

 

I have a few questions:

 

Are there any car rental companies that operate at the cruise port for pickup / drop-off? If so, are they still operating post-Dorian?

 

I was planning on renting a car for the day and going to Gold Rock Beach. Does anyone know if this is accessible / safe?

 

What about crime on the island? I've seen a lot of news about crime on Abaco, but haven't seen much about problems on Grand Bahama.
