Drinks on us and Cheers

Good morning cruisers!! If I get a Casino offer that includes Drinks on us in addition to Cheers, do I get more than 15 drinks per day??

No, it's a total of 15 drinks regardless of whether you use DOU or CHEERS.  The one good thing about having CHEERS is that you can go up to the casino bar and order instead of waiting for a drink from waiters that are taking 10 or more orders at a time.

I get the DOU often but, since my wife wants Cheers, and since everybody over 21 in the cabin has to get it, we get that instead. When you go to check in at the casino on the first night, let them know that you have cheers. They usually send us all kinds of "gifts" instead during the cruise like steakhouse diners, wine at diner and treats in the cabin. I like cheers anyway as it gives me coffee, soda, water, milkshakes and more all over the ship.

The DOU can be quite expensive waiting for the staff to bring drinks, if you continue to play while waiting for your drink.  For us, DOU is not really considered a perk considering the true cost of what it takes to get ‘free’ drinks.

rolaur makes a great suggestion, I'm usually in the same boat with getting the DOU card and also purchasing Cheers, which kind of renders the DOU useless. I wish the casino hosts would just see it on your account and send you the freebies to the room instead.
