waltd Posted October 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2019 Will be in San Francisco this month and want to do the Hop On Hop Off bus. Would like to stop in China Town then have lunch. Any recommendation for an Asian/Fusion restaurant? Vegetarian is a plus. Thanks
ell52 Posted October 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2019 You probably will find that the best Asian (fusion or otherwise) aren't in Chinatown (eg Richmond District). Perhaps ask the folks on Chowhound San Francisco. They have some very knowledgeable posters who seem to keep up with all the latest 'best' spots. Our standby hole-in-the-wall noodle place closed so we've been trying different spots in and around Chinatown. This year, we'll likely try Harbor View which is within walking distance of the ship's pier.
SuzCruise Posted October 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2019 Highly recommend China Live on Broadway. Great food!
Philob Posted October 4, 2019 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) Mister Jiu's on Waverly Place. An alley between Grant Ave & Stockton St. I believe it got it's 1st Michelin Star the last time around. http://misterjius.com/ Opps. Sorry it's not open for lunch. KeepCalmBearOn Posted October 5, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2019 Chinatown isn't the best Chinese in the city. For Chinese fusion, I'd check Palette Tea House. It is just outstanding.
