MSC "All-In" promotion upgrades...

When booking 3 of my 4 upcoming MSC cruises, I received the "All-In' promotion.  I was told I would need to wait till once onboard to upgrade the wifi to unlimited... does this sound correct?  It was my understanding that prices are discounted if purchased beforehand, and you receive more VC points doing so.  This is my first cruise w/ MSC, so I'm trying to learn how they work!

On our last cruise on the Divina, last year, I called to upgrade and had no problem. Of, course, this being MSC, anything can happen between then and now.
