AndyMichelle Posted October 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2019 There are plenty of other recent threads that have discussed this, but a brief summary seems to be they are very regular, run throughout the night, takes about 40 mins depending on traffic, stops quite close to the centre, about a 5 to 10 minute walk. Gets busy at certain times but seems to keep moving so no major delays. Have a great time. Andy

hansol1966 Posted October 27, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2019 When we went it was free to and from Amsterdam. Rotterdam to Amsterdam shuttle/tour is £40+.
Tilly20 Posted October 27, 2019 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2019 We are docking in Ijmuiden overnight in February, do you know if P&O usually offer a trip from Ijmuiden to Rotterdam? We’ve had several fantastic visits to Amsterdam and would love to visit Rotterdam for the first time. I’ve researched doing the trip ourselves and it looks like a ship excursion might be easier if they do one?
eddie11 Posted October 27, 2019 #7 Share Posted October 27, 2019 I don’t think so Here’s the ‘vacancies’ sheet we found in our cabin. I’ll put all 3 ports on. For what it’s worth, I’d say we had a great day out in Haarlem from IJmuiden, on MSC, several years ago. It was a sunny day though, so we enjoyed walking round uncrowded streets and residential areas, looking at the grand houses and canals. Much quieter than Amsterdam. A lovely square with a busy, busy, busy clock tower with chimes and figurines
