San Juan on Christmas Eve

Our ship will be in San Juan on Christmas Eve. Will anything be open? Any suggestions on what to do near the port? Thanks!

Not sure what will be open, as Christmas Eve is more celebrated in Puerto Rico than Christmas is.  At least for the many Christmases we've been in Puerto Rico.  Your best bet would be to just wander around and see what is going on.  There may be some plazas with live music....  (we've seen the stages, but just have not seen the acts)

We will also be in San Juan on Christmas Eve and were hoping to have dinner in a local restaurant.  Do you think we will find any open?  Or will it be best to return to the ship for dinner?

I really, really hope so.  Christmas food in Puerto Rico is so special that there are songs written about it.
