lmb84 Posted November 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2019 My question is this....We booked under "Hot Streak" offer which came with a $500.00 OBC FOR THE CABIN....I noticed this morning that our room category that we booked has come down quite a bit in price. If I apply for the difference....do I lose the $500.00 offer that I initially booked under. (I don't have that offer anymore)....it's just the room category has dropped...Thanks for any help
Bases5 Posted November 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2019 Normally Yes If you rebook at a new price you usually only get what that new offer comes with. You don't get to pick and choose what part of what offer you get. It does not hurt to call, I have heard of them making exceptions but not normally. You should look under your offers and see if the Hot streak offer is there for your sailing date, If it is check out the pricing to see if its changed there. bakersdozen12 Posted November 3, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2019 Since the OBC was part of the rate that you booked under, you do not get to keep it if you change to a different rate. You would get whatever OBC comes with that rate, and if it's $0, that's what you will get. So you have to take into account not only the price of the cruise but also the OBC that is included. Sometimes, it might actually work to your benefit to lose the OBC. But in this case, that's a lot of OBC, so I doubt it.
lmb84 Posted November 3, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted November 3, 2019 YES...You are right....when I weighed everything....it was almost the same ...little trickier for us Canadians as we have to do the rate conversion to Canadian dollars....ugh....I'll stay put.... I do have the Premier offer in which case I would get $100.00 OBC, BUT save approx. $250.00 on the new room rate. So all in all would still be up $100....both offers had the DOU in the casino....hmmm....decisions decisions....

So either you lose it or there is a cost to transfer bookings. since it’s the exact same cruise they might wave those charges. Give the casino department a call and check you options Also premiere offers come with extra offers Perks thru the casino Edited November 3, 2019 by Bases5

AND $100.00 casino play money....and there were no fees, same cruise, same room......we saved more than the $500.00 OBC was worth.. We did a Premier back in May and got lots of goodies in the room from champagne to salted caramels, and all kinds of other stuff, it was fun!
