Speedy's 3:30pm departure

I was looking forward to taking the 2:45pm departure back to Road Town (per a photo a saw), but after reviewing the website schedule 3:30 is the last until 5pm.  Has anyone taken the 3:30 Speedy's departure ?  Is it reliable?  We'll be on the NCL Encore in December which leaves at 5pm.

The ferries are quite reliable - things can happen, but I have never, ever read of anyone missing their ship by taking a ferry that departs VG 1 hour before their BOB time...

How long is that ferry ride, and does it fill up often?

 

Our departure time is 6pm, and I plan on taking the 3:30 ferry back to port.  If for some reason that is full, would the 5pm get me there in time?  I hesitate to leave any sooner than 3:30, as it probably wouldn't be worth the trip over.

~30 minutes With no delays so yes the 5PM would be risky. Ferries are added on busy days so I wouldn’t be concerned about the 3:30 departure.
