Water Island

My husband and I are taking a Holland America cruise next month. We'll be docked in St. Thomas on a Thursday from 8am to 5pm. We're considering a visit to Water Island. Does anyone have experience with this? Is the ferry within walking distance of the cruise ship terminal? What is offered on the island? I've read Honeymoon Beach is walkable from the Water Island ferry pier. Any other recommendations and/or advice? Thanks!

The Water Island ferry is within walking distance of the Crown Bay dock but your ship will be most likely docking at Havensight. You'll have to take a taxi or the new Harbor Hopper Water Shuttle to get to the Water Island ferry. Price is $6 per person each way by taxi or $5 each way by Harbor Hopper.

 

Water Island has Honeymoon Beach, 2 beach food concessions, and golf cart rentals so you can explore the island.
