This may sound like a silly question, but here goes, are there any convenience type stores in the area of the pier at Long Beach, we would like to pick up some refreshments before we board the ship. We will not have the opportunity from LAX to terminal as we have carnival transportation.

But there is a free bus system you could take back up to a store after you check your luggage in.

There are little stands all around the terminal area, and you may be able to find refreshments there. But not a convenience store. That would be back across the bridge.

 

Also, there are stores in the airport terminals at LAX that you could pick things up at as well. More expensive, but then at least you don't have to go out of your way!

Actually, if you can hold off for just a while longer, ok, maybe a couple of hours, as soon as you board the ship you will have a buffet lunch awaiting you. But I do know a few blocks from the ship is a hotel where we stayed before, and there was a convience store just up the street. If you don't mind a walk.

I think marjmy means "refreshments" ;)

 

In which case, the answer is, the nearest store is about a mile away from the dock. Personally, I just made sure that the airline I traveled on was okay with what I wanted to pack in my checked luggage.
