Sample menu on Oceana

I have been looking at the sample lunch menus and note that some of my favourite dishes on marked ‘TO SHARE.  Very unfortunate, as I am a solo traveller and have nobody to share with. I wonder if the waiters will still accept an order.

I've wondered the same. I'm not travelling alone but my friend only likes very simple food and probably won't want to share. I think because people have said they order more than one main or dessert etc that a sharer for one would be no problem.

Surely galley could just as easily produce the required item in smaller portions.

They will happily serve you a portion for one. 

We did this often on Oceana in November. 

The waiter explained that it is just a serving suggestion. 

No need to worry, they are very accommodating.

It just seems quite strange. However the waiters are always so very obliging and deserve to be treated with respect.

Very true Christine. 

We too were a bit embarrassed to ask, but overheard someone else order without fuss, so joined in.

We ordered a sharer on Ventura, and it was served as individual platters!

 

If you like seafood, try the Pu Pu Platter.
