sabrefan Posted December 29, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2019 What cruise terminal location does Celebrity typically use for Tokyo / Yokohama departures?
Northern Aurora Posted December 29, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2019 In 2018 the Millennium used the Osanbashi International Passenger Pier. But, if my memory is correct, it seems to me that there has at least been some discussion about building a larger pier. In any event, your e-docs will have terminal directions. hampshirelad Posted December 29, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2019 Cruised from Yokohama October 2018 and used the Osanbashi International Passenger Pier. Looked almost new so find it difficult to imagine they would build another. Celebrity seems to arrange cruise from this port in the Typhoon season so suggest you prior overnight in Yokohama and give yourself some wriggle room. Rare Hlitner Posted December 29, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2019 Do not make assumptions on docking location in the Tokyo area. The port of Tokyo has just built a new large facility (Shinkyaku Pier) that can handle any size cruise ship. In addition, there are a couple of pier locations in nearby Yokohama. If your ship is going to use the new Shinkyaku facility you would be better off staying within Tokyo then in Yokohama. I would suggest not making any non-cancellable hotel reservations until you can ascertain where your ship will dock. I do know that the new Spectrum of the Seas will be using the new Shinkyaku Pier and would not be surprised if other RCI ships also take advantage of this new facility.
